Published 2026 rate guides
Two published guides give different US ranges. Colara lists $40–$75 per hour for experienced second shooters, with newer shooters at $25–$40. FrameFlow lists $50–$100 per hour for smaller US metros and $75–$150 in major metros. These are guide estimates, not a verified national average.
What changes the quote?
Clarify whether the job includes only shooting or also travel, pre-culling, editing and file delivery. Agree minimum hours, overtime, parking, meals, backup gear, cancellation and the payment date before the wedding.
